Emergencies & Incidents Abroad
Crisis24 +1 (443) 716-2305
Crisis24 should be the first point of contact for all international travelers. If you need medical or security assistance while traveling outside of the United States, contact Crisis24: +1 (443) 716-2305
Collect calls accepted.
If you are unable to make a phone call: for non-urgent support, email support@crisis24.com, for urgent support use the crisis signal in the C24 app.
The Crisis24 Horizon Mobile app (Download from the Apple App store, Google Play) allows travelers to send an emergency “SOS” signal directly to Crisis24. This feature, in conjunction with a messaging feature, can be used to silently alert Crisis24’s security team if, for example, a traveler feels uncomfortable in a taxi or other similar situation.
Stanford Travel Emergency Line (STEL)
In the event that a Stanford-sponsored international traveler or Stanford unit supporting an international traveler needs to access Stanford based resources / support, calling the Stanford Travel Emergency Line will connect a caller to the Stanford Global Incident Commander - the on-call Stanford staff member who manages and coordinates campus response to an international incident.
The Stanford Travel Emergency Line (STEL) is staffed by Stanford's Operator Services Center. Available 24/7/365, STEL operators will identify the caller before warm transferring calls to the appropriate party.
